A terabyte of hard disk for your netbook for under £70

Now I know great netbooks like the Samsung NC10 come with masses of fast hard disk already. After all, 160GB can hold thousands of MP3 music tracks and hundreds of videos. But what with all the stuff we can download these days, you might find, like I do, that you need to store more stuff on your disk than even the Samsung allows.
And this is where the USB external disk drive comes into its own.

Verbatim 1TB external disk drive plugs into netbook USB port

I’ve found this great little 1TB (yes, that’s one whole Terabyte, or a thousand Gigabytes to be exact) hard disk drive from renowned hardware manufacturers Verbatim. You plug it into the mains, connect it to one of your netbook’s USB channels (good netbooks have at least three USB ports) and you can move data up and down to your netbook to your heart’s content at incredible speed.

How you use this USB drive is up to you. It’s so light at well under a kilo in weight that you can carry it about with you, or if you prefer just leave it at home connected to your main PC, then plug it into your netbook when you want to refresh your stache of MP3s and videos. It’s as easy as that cos this USB hard drive is actually plug and play. Plug it on and your netbook recognises it, and away you go.

Revolving at 7200rpm, the Verbatim external hard drive is no slouch, and a great 8GB if cache helps make the speed even faster.

And the best bit is the price. Retailing at under £70 for 1000 Gigs – you can’t go wrong.
